Craft Room Inspiration — Embrace Inspiration Workshop Link Party
This week’s prompt was Craft Room Inspiration (Craft Room and/or Organization).
Welcome! I invite you all to join me in celebrating the simple things & finding inspiration. Each week in the Artful Rising Newsletter I will include a prompt. Blog about your interpretation of the prompt in a poem, story, art, sketch, photo, or just your thoughts and share your link this Friday!
I have been working like a turtle (read: very slowly) on transforming the old playroom into my craft space. My Dad (thank you!) came up and built a massive cabinet along one wall and I have been sanding, priming, and painting what feels like miles of trim, door, and a shelf. And I haven’t even gotten to the cabinet yet. We are going to cover up the tongue and groove knotty pines boards (they are not paneling) with beadboard. The hope is to lighten up the space and get rid of the dungeon feel. This work inspired my the following craft room inspiration images.
Heather Bailey’s space is pretty with her fabrics. If I kept my fabric folded so nicely I could do this too;)
I like the cabinets and professional looking space in Craftaholics Anonymous’s space. I won’t be going with that look but I like the craft room organization and how she used the materials to add color to the gray. She also repurposed things in fun and unexpected ways.

But the colors in this space have my attention.

Erika- when you take your time with projects though, even though you may feel like you wish you were going faster, I think it’s better because it leaves you room for changes. That way you can stall to let your brain work out maybe a better way of organizing something, or a better place or orientation for a piece of furniture. I know it will be beautiful and I’m sure you can’t wait to get creative in there!
Wow! Those are great spaces! I would love to have more room so I could keep things better organized!
This is a great idea for a link up! I always get inspired looking at great photos of craft rooms. It’s totally fine that you used this for my link up today. I’m pretty loose on the Friday Feature theme.
Lovely craft space – looks soooo inviting!
I love that bottom place! I’d love to work in there!
These spaces are all very nice! I am drooling!!!
I always love seeing pictures of perfectly organized craft spaces. I dream about them but I’m afraid mine is always going to be a mess….lol I love that last one and the one above it with the lunch box hanging on the wall.
Erika-
I linked up with this post and added your button to my blog. Looking forward to this concept growing with participants in the future. Decided to do this in place of friday features on my own blog, since I am helping with them on the BBA blog. Should be fun!
love looking at those craftrooms with their colors all grouped like that! My room looks messy, but I know where things are… {:-D
These are certainly inspirational work spaces. I’m with the others who wish they had more space, but also more dollars to re-do the spaces I have.
