Cooking with Paula Deen
I get to cook with Paula Deen every day.
My parents gave me the Paula Deen Signature Cookware Set for Christmas and I tell my husband that I get to cook with Paula every day. I don’t use as much cream cheese or butter as she does in her recipes but it is still fun. I don’t appear on tv with her which is good because I don’t have to worry about tv weight or fixing my hair.
Several of her recipes are our favorites and if eaten in moderation you can still eat a balanced meal.
I like this Paula Deen Cookbook Stand for holding my cookbooks and recipes — so much better than using my salt shaker to hold the book open!
Mom and I like to look through and pick out something to cook from Christmas with Paula Deen. I am not sure if this is the one we have — does she have more than one Christmas cookbook? But her holiday dishes surprisingly are not that difficult if you are willing try something new. I prefer the desserts (of course).
So, I cook with Paula every day while I lose weight and she announces she has diabetes. Maybe she ought to cook with me more often:)
QUESTION: What is your favorite recipe and ingredient?

LOL :) I think she could learn a thing or two from you!
I like to try new recipes from time to time, otherwise we end up eating the same casseroles over and over again.
I’m trying a new Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff today in fact!
LOL. Paula is one of those people that I love to watch…but not so much to cook with- I agree with you. No wonder she has diabetes! My southern Hubby loves her of course, but I’d rather use fresh veggies as a mainstay. We are a “real butter” household though, but we use it parsimoniously.
I love some of Paula Dean’s recipes. Her cookbooks are fun.
My favorite ingredient to cook with is probably garlic. :) I have so many favorite recipes.
I liked the dessert section of that Christmas cookbook! She most certainly could stand to cook with you from time to time! Well, I could too since I need to lose weight also. :)
a friend of mine got a set of Paula Dean’s cookwear and she really likes them. Love that cookbook stand.
I am so jealous! I would love to have her cookware. She is one of my favorites! I just have one question….How does one cook with Paula and lose weight? She’s such the butter queen. But I love her! I wish she was my neighbor! If she were, I’d be round!
I’m not the cook in the family but I look your cookbook stand. My favorite recipe is a simple one with avocados and shrimp. And of course, some old family recipes that I still remember. {:-D
I love me some Paula Deen! I have her first two cookbooks, and have been to her restaurant down in Tunica. Love most of the recipes I’ve tried from her books (except for the macaroni and cheese: VERY bland). My favorite recipe from her is the, of course, Ooey Gooey Butter Cake. Mr. Calm’s are her mini Cherry Cheesecakes.
I haven’t cooked anything “new” of late, to be honest. We have a family cookbook filled with recipes we all love, and most of what we cook comes from that. I love your cookbook stand, by the way!
