Oh, Texas Texas
Texas Texas Lone Star State how I wonder where’s the rain/ Fluffy clouds and rain drops score/ In the autumn I hope for more.
Texas Texas Lone Star State how I wonder where’s the rain.
This is my attempt at Saturday Centus in which we had to create our own lyrics to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with no more than 36 words. As you can see I am no writer of songs!
QUESTION: What did you come up with?

Autumn in Texas, wonderfully done!
I hope you’re not too close to the fires.
I have a brother about 30 miles from Austin, he’s told me how desperately TX needs rain.
Stopping by from SC. I love your words..
I love it and do hope you get some rain soon:@)
Aw, that’s sort of sad. My inlaws (they’re in Leander, near Cedar Park) almost had to evacuate last week because of an out of control fire. I really, seriously hope ya’ll get rain this fall!
Excellent !
Praying for you all in Texas…perfect take on the prompt !
Definitely hope it gets better soon! We had a few drops last night! Keep singing that song!!
I saw that your song worked for parts of Texas! Keep on singing so it can keep on raining!
That is a great entry for this tricky week!

I hope your parched state receives some much needed rain, soon!
I think we got all your rain night before last, here in Tucson. The downpour set an all-time record. Wish I could send you some. Good take on the prompt!!!
Sorry you’re not in the belt of rain sweeping through TX right now.

Here’s my attempt at a Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star variation:
When your kids have left the nest
Grandkids, grandkids are the best.
‘Tho they’re little just awhile
All their antics make you smile.
When your kids have left the nest
Grandkids, grandkids are the best.
LeAnn
